The Gambler Brass Rattle Weight adds weight and fish-attracting sound to soft-plastic presentations. Its solid-brass construction creates a sharp clicking sound as the weight contacts the hook or other terminal tackle, helping bass locate the bait in stained water, vegetation, and heavy cover.
The streamlined bullet shape moves cleanly through grass and cover. Six sizes—from 1/16 oz to 1/2 oz—cover light finesse presentations, everyday Texas rigs, and heavier flipping or punching applications.
Target Species
Designed primarily for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and spotted bass.
Recommended Techniques
- Texas rigging worms, craws, and creature baits
- Flipping and pitching around grass, wood, docks, and other cover
- Punching matted vegetation with the heavier sizes
- Carolina rigging when paired with the appropriate bead, swivel, leader, and hook
How to Rig
Slide the weight onto your main line with the pointed end facing the rod tip, then tie on an offset worm hook or EWG hook and rig your soft plastic weedless. Leave the weight free-sliding for a traditional Texas rig, or secure it with a bobber stop when flipping, pitching, or punching. For a Carolina rig, place the weight above a bead and swivel, then add a leader, hook, and soft plastic.
