Xcite Baits XB-Vibe Lipless Crankbait – 1/2 oz & 3/4 oz
Cover water, locate feeding bass, and adapt to changing depth and wind with the Xcite Baits XB-Vibe. This hard-bodied lipless crankbait comes in two weights—1/2 oz and 3/4 oz—with a compact baitfish profile, treble-hook presentation, and a vibration-focused retrieve. Choose your weight and color to match the depth, cover, forage, and speed you want to fish. Both sizes are offered as individual lures; color availability varies by weight.
Choose Your Weight
1/2 oz: A versatile choice for shallower flats, grass edges, and controlled retrieves when you want to keep the bait higher in the water column. 3/4 oz: A heavier option for longer casts, windier conditions, deeper presentations, and faster retrieves where extra weight helps maintain depth. These are Xmark fishing-use suggestions, not manufacturer depth ratings.
Features
- XB-Vibe lipless crankbait design
- Available in 1/2 oz and 3/4 oz weights
- Color options selected independently for each weight
- Hard bait with treble hooks
- Individual lure; not a multipack
Xmark Outdoors — Suggested Rigging
Standard casting setup: Tie to your main line with a secure lure knot, or use an appropriately sized snap if you frequently change baits. Use a medium to medium-heavy casting rod with enough flex to keep fish pinned on treble hooks. Adjust line choice to cover and conditions; avoid overpowering the lure with an unnecessarily stiff setup.
Grass-edge presentation: Cast beyond submerged vegetation, retrieve just above the grass, and briefly accelerate or lift the rod when the lure contacts vegetation to free it. Keep treble hooks away from thick, snag-prone cover.
Fishing Techniques & Tips
- Steady retrieve: Cast across points, flats, and baitfish schools; vary speed until you find the cadence fish respond to.
- Yo-yo retrieve: Let the lure sink in open water, lift it with the rod, then follow it down on a controlled line. Watch for bites as it falls.
- Burn and pause: Speed up briefly, then pause or slow down to trigger a reaction strike from following fish.
- Cold-water approach: Experiment with slower pulls and controlled falls around deeper edges; avoid assuming one retrieve works in every season.
- Warm-water search: Cover flats, windblown banks, and transitions where active bass may be chasing shad.
Potential target species: Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and other predatory freshwater fish where appropriate and legal. Match hook size, tackle, and local regulations to the species you pursue.
Availability note: Some color/weight combinations may be out of stock. Ghost Craw in 1/2 oz is currently unavailable; select 3/4 oz if you want that color and it remains in stock.
